We went from having money to having no money. That's difficult. [LNB]On the slide"You do your best, put one foot in front of the other and get a team onto the pitch, but when you have to sell all your players it's tough. [LNB]"My heart goes out to Paul Hart as well because he took charge when the club was on the slide financially, so it's very difficult in that situation. If you haven't got the tools, you can't do the job."[LNB]Pompey currently prop up the Premier League table, after suffering seven defeats in eight outings, but they have brought the considerable experience of Avram Grant back to the club in a director of football role.[LNB]Adams believes the appointment of the Israeli tactician will prove to be a shrewd move and he is backing Hart to benefit from having the former Chelsea chief alongside him.[LNB]"He's a nice guy Avram and I enjoyed the year I was with him at Portsmouth," he added.[LNB]"I didn't let him near any of my training sessions, but he was brilliant for me as support. [LNB]"He's got a wealth of experience and knowledge so he will be value to Paul in recruitment for sure."[LNB]
