Valiants secure Brown deal

Midfielder Scott Brown has signed a deal to keep him at Port Vale until the end of the season. The 23-year-old has scored once in seven appearances for the Valiants since joining on loan from Cheltenham Town and has now sealed a permanent stay at Vale Park. Boss Dean Glover told The Sentinel: "Scott is a player I've rated for some time. He's done well since he joined us and can get better. "He's got a good footballing brain, two good feet and the experience of playing at a higher level. That experience is something we needed in the mix. "Scott is nearly 24 and at a good age to help our team develop. I'm very pleased to have him on board for the rest of the season and we will take it from there."
