Port Vale have confirmed they remain interested in signing Stockport County defender Gareth Owen.
Owen snubbed a loan move to Vale Park in favour of a switch to Yeovil Town last month.
However, Vale chairman Bill Bratt claims his club remain keen to land the former Stoke City and Oldham Athletic stopper.
"In Gareth Owen's case, we are keeping our eyes on that one," he revealed. "There is money available if the right player comes along.
"We were looking at a lad at Blackburn, but he is involved with the first-team now, so I think that is over for us."
