Vale set for late loan bids

Port Vale boss Martin Foyle is set to make a late raid into the loan transfer market as he bids to find cover for injured duo Colin Miles and Jason Talbot.
Both players picked up knocks during Saturday's 2-0 home defeat against Swansea City as defender Miles was forced out of the action with a calf problem only for his replacement Talbot to go off with a broken rib.
It leaves Foyle with just a few days to bolster his squad as the loan market closes on Thursday, after which clubs must battle on with what they have got until the January transfer window opens.
Foyle told the club's official website: "Colin Miles had a tight calf and then Jason Talbot was in a bad way and was rushed to hospital. It causes us even more problems and we could do with covering their absence.
"A lot of clubs are trying to bring players in before the deadline but we don't want to bring young lads in because they've got a lot to learn, and the way to learn is by making mistakes."
