Vale ponder Collins appeal

Port Vale manager Dean Glover could appeal against Lee Collins' red card in the 2-1 win at Shrewsbury Town.

The 20-year-old, who is on loan at Vale Park from Wolves, was dismissed for a second yellow card, just before Glover's side scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner.

Glover said: "I thought it was a ridiculous decision and I'll be looking at the video to see if it's worth appealing.

"There were some strange decisions by the referee on both parts. I shall have a look to see where we can go as I didn't think it was a sending-off offence.

"The lad's run Lee into the channel and got in between him and the ball. The lad fell over and Lee got sent off."
