Vale move for City's Marshall

Port Vale have added Manchester City midfielder Paul Marshall to the ranks on a month's loan.

The 19-year-old had recently returned to the Premier League club following a loan spell at Blackpool.

"He is a good footballer and he is six foot plus, so it makes a bit of a change for us and we just hope he can come and have a good month for us," manager Dean Glover told the club's official website.

"He is chomping at the bit to get first-team football and he will start for us tomorrow (against Bournemouth).

"He has had a good upbringing at Manchester City, playing for their reserves with some quality players, and he just needs some league games under his belt.

"I am hoping we can get him settled in quickly and he can go on to have a good month with us."
