Vale challenge excites Collins

Versatile Lee Collins is looking forward to playing regular football for Port Vale after agreeing a six-month loan deal with Lee Sinnott's side.

The 19-year-old Wolves defender enjoyed a long loan spell at Hereford United last term and is hoping for similar success at Vale Park.

"I played in a side last season that won promotion and that did wonders for my confidence and I'm hoping to do the same here," Collins told the club's official website.

"Defensively I can work well in a back four, especially with John McCombe being here as well. I like to get forward and I love to get anywhere near the goals.

"I can play at left-back, right-back and centre-back. My favourite position is centre-back, but I'm quite happy to play anywhere."
