Tudor calls time on career

Port Vale winger Shane Tudor has been forced to announce his immediate retirement from football. The 26-year-old has been plagued by injury since arriving at Vale Park from Leyton Orient in May 2007 and made just 20 appearances for the Valiants. Manager Dean Glover told the club's official website: "He was a thorn in our side when he played against us for Orient and we signed him believing he could do the same for us, but unfortunately we never got to see that. "Shane has played the odd game here and there and last turned out for us at Shrewsbury earlier this season, but has been battling to overcome his injuries. "It is unfortunate that he has had to finally come to this decision, but we wish him luck in whatever he decides to do in the future, and if we can help him in any way we will be pleased to do so."
