Sinnott happy to land Howland

23 May 2008 - 17:05:27

Port Vale manager Lee Sinnott is delighted to have clinched the permanent signing of Birmingham City midfielder David Howland on a two-year deal.

The 21-year-old made 17 appearances during a loan stay at Vale Park in the second half of the campaign just ended.

Sinnott told Vale's official website: "We're delighted to secure his services.

"After spending six months with us we know a lot about him and he knows where we want to go.

"Theoretically it's a new signing but with the added advantage that both parties know each other. What's an advantage is that David knows the way we want to play and he's more than capable of playing that way."
