Rodgers blow for Vale

Port Vale will be without Luke Rodgers for around a month after the striker suffered a hamstring injury in last weekend's defeat at Leyton Orient. Rodgers has made just two appearances since his £30,000 switch from Crewe last month, but has now been ruled out until March. "Luke pulled up and stopped straight away and he is still sore," revealed Vale boss Martin Foyle. "He could be out for two to four weeks. There is no tear in his hamstring and he feels it is not as bad as it could have been. It is going to be a big blow for us though. "I knew he was short of games when I brought him in, but I thought he had looked bright for us. He was getting fitter."
