Port Vale start with Dale visit

New Manager Micky Adams will then take his side for back-to-back away matches at Bradford (August 15) and Macclesfield (August 18) before returning to Vale Park to face Darlington on August 22.
The two clashes with Staffordshire rivals Crewe are scheduled for October 17 (away) and March 27 (home) while title favourites Rotherham will provide tough opponents at Vale Park on November 14, with the reverse fixture at the Don Valley Stadium on April 3.
Boxing Day will see Adam's men host Football League newboys Burton before they end the calendar year with a trip to Grimsby (December 28), while a tough trip to Darlington awaits in the first game of 2010 (January 2).
Last season's beaten play-off finalists Shrewsbury visit Vale Park for the final game of the season on May 8.
