Owen faces spell on sidelines

Port Vale defender Gareth Owen could be out of action until mid-December after it was confirmed that he had fractured his cheekbone in more than one place.
The 27-year-old had to be substituted after picking up the problem in the first half of Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy match against Bradford City.
When he does return, he may have to wear a face mask.
Owen fractured the same cheekbone playing for Stockport County in their League Two play-off semi-final victory over Wycombe 18 months ago and wore a protective mask in the final.
