New Vale contract for Adams

Port Vale manager Micky Adams has signed a new two-year contract extension with the League Two outfit.
Adams, who joined the Vale Park club at the start of June, only penned a one-year deal at the start of the season but he will now stay with the club until June 2012.
Many pundits predicted that the Valiants would struggle this term but the former Leicester City, Coventry City and Brighton & Hove Albion manager has guided the team to 13th in the league.
Speaking to reporters, he said: "I've been impressed by the attitude and work ethic of the players since I joined Port Vale and I want to achieve long-term success here.
"Everyone behind the scenes is also working hard to take the club forward and I see no reason why we can't achieve the right results."
