Port Vale have snapped up New Zealand defender Dave Mulligan on a free transfer from Scunthorpe United.
The 25-year-old has also played for Barnsley and Doncaster Rovers, while he spent time on loan at Grimsby Town earlier this season.
Mulligan, who has joined Vale until the end of the season, told his new club's official website: "I got a call from my agent saying Vale were interested in me and I jumped at the chance to come.
"I can't wait to get my boots on at the weekend, I am really looking forward to it.
"Hopefully I can come here, get a place in the first-team and then if I do well enough, earn myself a new contract at the end of the season."
