    Midfield duo make Vale exits

    14 May 2009 - 14:38:39

Midfield pair Scott Brown and Dave Brammer have not been offered new contracts by Port Vale.

Brammer had been in his second spell at Vale Park, while Brown only joined the club earlier in the season following his release by Cheltenham Town.

Veteran Brammer was upset at the way he was told that he was surplus to requirements, telling The Sentinel: "I got an answer machine message from the chairman who told me I wouldn't be offered a new contract.

"With this being my second spell at the club, I thought I would get slightly better treatment.

"It's not about getting a contract. Frankly, I'm not totally sure I would have accepted one anyway with the way the club is being run."

Meanwhile, Paul Edwards, Ross Davison, Luke Prosser and Joe Anyon have all been offered new contracts.
