McCrory returns to Vale

Port Vale manager Micky Adams has continued to revamp his squad by landing Plymouth Argyle's Damien McCrory on a month's loan.

The 19-year-old could make his Vale debut in the Carling Cup clash against Sheffield Wednesday.

McCrory spent a spell on loan at Vale Park last year, featuring in 12 games for the club.

Adams said: "I've made no secret of my desire to strengthen the squad in all areas and I'm grateful to Plymouth Argyle for their financial help in this deal, which has allowed the loan to happen.

"Although I wasn't manager when Damien had a spell at Vale Park last season, he's a player who's been highly recommended to me. I look forward to working with him during his time at the club."
