Keeper nets Valiants player award

Anyon, who progressed through the youth set-up at Vale Park, was in top form for Vale until suffering a fracture to his tibia against Chesterfield in late March - bringing an end to his season. Vale managed to preserve their Football League status without him and the 22-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, had already done enough between the sticks to earn the top honour. Simon Richman won young player of the year, the chairman's player of the year went to John McCombe and James Lawrie's strike against Chester earned goal of the season.
