Jorgensen turns Vale down

Veteran Faroe Islands international Claus Jorgensen has decided to leave Port Vale after turning down the offer of a contract at Vale Park. The 33-year-old midfielder joined Micky Adams' side last month and made five appearances from the substitute's bench for the League Two side. Adams said: "We put an offer on the table, which unfortunately Claus has decided to turn down. "We're obviously disappointed, but he's now considering other options and there's nothing we can do about that except to wish him luck."
