Jamie hopes to be the Guy for Vale

The Colchester striker, who turns 22 this weekend, is a product of the Us' youth set-up and has featured mainly as a substitute for the Essex outfit in recent years. Guy signed a three-year contract with Colchester back in 2007 but spent the majority of last season on loan at Oxford and Dagenham, scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win for the latter at Vale Park in March. A deal is yet to be formally agreed but manager Micky Adams is optimistic an agreement can be reached before the start of the new season.
