Horsfield expecting no easy games

Published: 18 Mar 2010 - 13:47:00

Horsfield, 36, is speaking from experience having gained promotion with five different clubs during his playing career, which is currently on hold at Vale Park due to a calf injury. Vale's 5-0 romp at high-flying Chesterfield last weekend put their promotion charge firmly in the headlines and moved the club to within three points of the top six. And Horsfield told The Sentinel: "Teams want to do well against the likes of Rochdale, Bury and Notts County because of the success surrounding them. "So Cheltenham (Vale's opponents on Saturday) are going to be thinking 'hang on, Vale have just won 5-0. We're going to have to get into their faces'. "It's going to be difficult for us, but if we get off well from the first minute instead of waiting until the 46th like we have been doing, we can be a match for anybody."
