Haldane happy with Vale switch
27 Jan 2010 - 14:07:19
Lewis Haldane is hoping to kick-start his career with Port Vale after completing his permanent transfer to Micky Adams' side from Bristol Rovers.
The 24-year-old forward had been on loan at Vale Park in the first half of the season after featuring in almost 200 games for Rovers.
However, he has dropped out of the first-team picture at the Memorial Stadium in the last two seasons and is pleased to have finally left the club.
He said: "I knew my future wasn't at Bristol Rovers, so there was no point being there any longer. I hope I can do well here until the end of the season and then I'll see what happens after that.
"I could do with a few more goals under my belt, but I'm out there on the wing at the moment so I'll just have to keep on going with that.
"I enjoy playing out there and giving defenders problems, so I'm happy with that and long may it continue."
