Glover inspires Vale to romp

The win was Vale's first of pre-season and gave manager Micky Adams a chance to run the rule over Kris Taylor and forward Lassana Sidibe, the brother of Stoke striker Mama, who was taken off early with a knock. But it was Glover who was the star of the show, netting his hat-trick in just 21 minutes. Steve Thompson, Rob Taylor, Kris Taylor and Ross Davidson completed the scoring to gift Adams his first triumph as Vale boss.
