Anyon agrees Vale contract

Goalkeeper Joe Anyon has agreed a new contract at Port Vale which will tie him to the club until summer 2009.

The 20-year-old broke into the first team in October and has gone on to become a permanent fixture in his first full season at Vale Park.

"This is great news for us because Joe is a winner and a great talent," Vale boss Martin Foyle told the club's official website.

"He's caught the eye of a lot of people in the game and he has a good future.

"He has the right attitude and mentality to play at the highest level."
