Adams wary over loan moves

Port Vale boss Micky Adams has revealed that he will only make further loan signings if he feels that they will improve his starting eleven.

Adams has already utilised the loan market to bring in Lewis Haldane, Damien McCrory and Jamie Guy, but is cautious over any further deals.

He told The Sentinel: "The targets have changed in that we're not trying to improve the squad - we're trying to improve the team.

"That's a different scenario from the beginning of the season when we didn't really have enough quality in the squad.

"I'm pleased with the loan signings I've got, they've added something to us.

"But when I go out watching games, I've got two aims - one is to improve the team now and, secondly, to improve the squad for next season."
