The 21-year-old is reunited with former Seagulls boss Micky Adams, who is now in charge at Vale Park. Adams told the club's official website, "He is six foot tall and has the ability to pass the ball, he handles the ball well whenever the situation arises and character-wise he is just what we are looking for. "It is important that I can sign players like Tommy who I can trust. I was really surprised he was allowed to leave Brighton to be honest. That was one of the big shocks, but their loss is our again. "There will be much-needed competition for places in midfield. He has played a good number of games now for Brighton and he is still only 21 and he is a great signing - hopefully the first of many."
