Vale waiting on Tomlinson

Port Vale will check on goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson ahead of the visit of Morecambe but Sean Rigg is set to miss out. Goalkeeper Tomlinson was due to start Monday's 1-0 defeat at Stevenage - a loss which all but ended Vale's hopes of a play-off place - until he was withdrawn from the starting XI before kick-off due to illness. Chris Martin stepped in between the sticks and will do so again should Tomlinson, who instead dropped to the bench, fails to recover in time. Forward Rigg, who came into the side at Broadhall Way in place of Louis Dodds, was forced off after just 13 minutes having suffered knee ligament damage. Dodds is now likely to regain his starting spot against the Shrimps, while midfielder Sam Morsy is also pushing for a recall. Doug Loft continues to miss the closing stages of the season with his ruptured hamstring.
