Richman, 19, has an appearance clause in his contract that entitles him to a two-year extension to his current deal - which has a year to run.[LNB]And Richman's agent, former Vale defender Phil Sproson, is eager to strike a deal despite club still being without a successor to Dean Glover.[LNB]Sproson told the Sentinel: "The new manager will want to look at the first team squad and make his own decisions, and I understand that. But Simon is an asset to the club and they need to protect themselves."[LNB]He added: "We have been patient while the club have looked for a new manager, but the player needs a reasonable salary because of his first-team status in playing more than 45 games"[LNB]"I'm not trying to drag him away from Port Vale, I want him to stay at the club."[LNB][LNB]
