Vale secure Midlands friendlies
Mick McCarthy's Championship winners will face Vale on Wednesday, July 22 as they gear up for the Premier League campaign.
West Brom, who were relegated from the top-flight last term and are currently fighting to ward off interest from Celtic in their manager Tony Mowbray, are hosted by Micky Adams' side a week later.
Meanwhile Adams holding contract talks with Paul Edwards, Luke Prosser and Ross Davidson whose present deals expire at the end of this month.
