Vale meet with potential investors
Port Vale have held "preliminary talks" with an Anglo-American investment group.
The club's board of directors, who on Friday announced the meeting would take place, have made no secret of their desire to explore external funding.
A club statement read: "The Board of Port Vale Football Club met this weekend with the representatives of an Anglo-American investment group.
"Preliminary talks were cordial and constructive and it was agreed that further talks were warranted.
"The representatives of the group expressed their thanks for a warm welcome at the club and an insight into the wide range of football and non-football activities."
