Vale likely to remain unchanged

Port Vale caretaker boss Mark Grew is set to name an unchanged side for the clash with Lincoln at Vale Park. Grew has sought to make a number of changes for his first two games in temporary charge but after the team showed a marked improvement in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Bury, when only a failure to take a host of chances prevented Vale taking the win, he is likely to stick with the same players. This would mean on-loan Rotherham striker Tom Pope partnering Marc Richards up front with Justin Richards having to settle for a place on the bench. Top-scorer Marc Richards is still searching for his 100th career goal after missing a number of presentable opportunities against the Shakers. Attacker Lewis Haldane and combative midfielder Sam Morsy are expected to retain their places after being recalled at the weekend and putting in impressive performances. Sean Rigg remains unavailable as he completes his three-match ban for the sending off he received against Accrington, while on-loan Peterborough defender Exodus Geohaghon is not expected to play any part following his claims, and the subsequent investigation, that he was racially abused by Valients fans at the Crown Ground.
