Vale keeper signs new contract

There were fears the highly thought of shot-stopper may want to move away from Vale Park after the club's recent disappointing campaign.[LNB]But that has been brushed aside after the 21-year-old, who is currently sidelined with a broken leg, accepted terms almost immediately.[LNB]Vale's supporters' player of the year told the club's official website: "I am delighted and over the moon to be re-signing with Port Vale. I am working hard now and fighting to get back to full fitness ready for the start of the new season."[LNB]Vale's board have also revealed they have drawn up a shortlist of six unnamed candidates for the vacant manager's position.[LNB]Interviews are scheduled to take place early next week and a decision is expected shortly after.[LNB][LNB]
