Owen was forced off with a broken cheekbone in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Bradford.[LNB]The 27-year-old visited a specialist on Thursday to check on the severity of damage to the same cheekbone he broke while playing for Stockport in May 2008.[LNB]The only other fit centre-half available to Adams is the transfer-listed Luke Prosser, which may see Vale's attentions switch to the loan market.[LNB]However, there is good news for Adams, who may be able to start Doug Loft after he recovered from a calf injury. The 22-year-old midfielder was an unused substitute against Bradford.[LNB]Striker Geoff Horsfield is still blighted by a groin injury.[LNB][LNB]
