Port Vale boss Jim Gannon is hoping to tie James O`Shea and Tom Pope to new deals at the club. O`Shea, who is currently on loan from Birmingham, will play his last game for the Valiants against Stevenage while Gannon is also hopeful of signing Pope on a permanent deal but has claimed the final decision lies with Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore. Gannon said: "James O`Shea`s loan deal is up but I would like to sit down with him and speak to people at Birmingham. "He is a very good and talented player and I think he`s got a big future in the game. "Regarding Tom Pope, I don`t have a difficult decision. The finances are there to strengthen. "The chairman was quite clear that with players like him that can make a difference, there will always be money made available for people like that."
