Vale boss upset by "daft goal"

Will Buckley's goal was enough for Dale to win the clash, but Glover was frustrated by the manner of the strike, which saw Chris Dagnall collect a throw-in from Simon Ramsden and get to the byline before crossing for Buckley to net. "The disappointing thing from my point of view is that we've been undone by a daft goal," said Glover. "One of their lads gets injured and that delayed the game for a couple of minutes, in which time we switched off and they got a goal from the resulting throw-in, which is very disappointing on our part. "We cannot afford to switch off like that, because we've worked hard on denying teams the chance to get balls into feet from throw-ins, but we didn't do it this time. "It was very frustrating, because for all the pressure they put on us during the first half, Chris Martin hardly had a save to make."
