Taylor rescues point for Vale
Chances came thick and fast and Vale's Doug Loft drew first blood in the 12th minute when his 18-yard half-volley ripped into the top corner.[LNB]Marc Richards' shot was touched against the post by Michael Poke as Vale searched for a second before Torquay hit back with an equaliser in the 17th minute.[LNB]Chris Robertson played the ball into the path of Nicky Wroe and his first-time drive flew into the top left-hand corner of Chris Martin's net.[LNB]Torquay went ahead with their first attempt of the second half when Scott Rendell buried a well placed header from Wayne Carlisle's 67th-minute cross.[LNB]The goal came against the run of play and Taylor struck a deserved equaliser after exchanging passes with Sean Rigg 14 minutes from time.[LNB][LNB]
