Valiants manager Micky Adams revealed on Saturday that the defender, who originally penned a three-month contract at the start of the season, will now be staying until at least May. And having put pen to paper on Monday morning, Taylor told the club's official website: "I am obviously really pleased that it's all done and dusted and I'm looking forward to being here and hopefully being involved for the rest of the season." Saturday proved to be a double celebration for the 25-year-old having netted an 80th-minute winner to secure a memorable 2-1 derby triumph for around 2,200 Vale supporters in the away end at local rivals Crewe. "When we bring as many supporters as we did, to come away with three points is a massive plus for everyone at Port Vale," added Taylor. "We've had three wins in a row where we have gone out there and done well. People will say that the manager transfer-listed us and got a good response and maybe that's true. It's a case of the lads sticking together, coming out and performing, which we have done."
