Haldane has been allowed by parent club Bristol Rovers to remain at Vale for the maximum 93 days, and has been told he can play in the first-round clash on Saturday - a move that will see the 24-year-old cup-tied for the competition should he return to the Memorial Stadium.[LNB]The former Wales Under-21 international had already been given permission to play for Vale in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, and appeared in their win against Stockport last month.[LNB][LNB]
