The former Nuneaton midfielder started a league game for the first time since the opening day of the season. And he took his chance, both with a fine all-round performance and the way he tucked away Vale's second goal early in the second-half. Glover, who has been under pressure following three straight home defeats, said: "Rob has come in and done well. I know he had been frustrated at his lack of opportunities, but I see all the players in training every day and pick what I see. "I'm pleased for him, but I'm also very pleased for the rest of the lads. It just shows what confidence can do for players. "I thought we started the game much brighter than in recent matches, but then got caught napping at a set piece to go behind and I thought 'here we go again,'" added Glover.
