Roberts set for Vale comeback
Gary Roberts returns from suspension for Port Vale`s short trip to promotion-rivals Shrewsbury while fellow midfielder Louis Dodds is also pushing to start.
Roberts, who picked up a red card while playing for the club`s reserves, completed his three-match suspension with the passing of Saturday`s 2-1 victory over struggling Macclesfield.
He now comes back into Jim Gannon`s thinking alongside Dodds, who came off the bench to score a stunning goal which ultimately proved the difference against the Silkmen.
Goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson looks set to have to make do with a place on the bench.
Centre-back Gareth Owen (ankle) continues to work his way back to full fitness but is not expected to be involved at the Greenhous Meadow as sixth meets fifth in League Two.
