Rico wait for Vale

Micky Adams will check on striker Marc Richards ahead of Port Vale`s FA Cup second-round clash at home to Accrington. Richards felt a tweak in his leg as he converted his second penalty of the night in Tuesday`s 5-0 romp at Stockport and was duly substituted, although the 14-goal forward will hope to be involved as the Valiants eye a place in the lucrative third-round draw. With Vale already home and dry at Edgeley Park, Richards was taken off early along with defender John McCombe and midfielder Sean Rigg with one eye on Friday`s FA Cup encounter. And it remains to be seen what kind of side Adams will go with at Vale Park as his side face up to their third game in the space of seven days. Defender Lee Collins remains a doubt due to his shin splints while on-loan forward Jake Speight in ineligible having also missed both first-round meetings with Dartford as Vale eventually progressed via a replay.
