Richards sets goal target
Port Vale striker Marc Richards is targeting as many as 25 goals this season as he looks to eclipse his impressive efforts from last term.
The Valiants marksman, who opted to pen a new deal with the Burslem outfit over the summer, found the net 22 times in all competitions in 2009/10.
He is already well on his way in 2010/11 with 12 in 21 appearances to date and, considering he had just eight this time last year, is on target to set a new benchmark.
"To be honest with you I set my standards pretty high," he told the club`s official website.
"I`ve got a target in mind that I want to reach before Christmas, and I also have a target I want to reach come the end of the season.
"As a front man I should be hitting 20-25 goals."
