Richards ahead of Vale goal target
The Vale marksman, 27, registered his ninth of the season against Cheltenham last weekend and now needs just one more to tick the box he wanted to reach as quickly as possible.[LNB]Richards refuses to reveal the target he had in mind come May but his form over the first quarter of the season means he is already well on his way.[LNB]"My first target for the season was to get 10 goals as soon as possible," he told the club's official website. "I got 12 last year and managed to get nine of those before Christmas so I want to beat that.[LNB]"I have a few weeks before Christmas so I am hoping to get another four or five before then.[LNB]"But either way, I am hoping to be comfortably past 10 goals by the new year."[LNB][LNB]
