Prosser hoping for prolonged run

The defender was transfer listed by incoming boss Adams before the start of the season as he looked to mould and shape his own squad at Vale Park. A loan spell at Salisbury followed for Prosser before he returned to Burslem with nothing more on his mind than getting a chance to prove his worth. That came, as a result of illness to Lee Collins, in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Cheltenham and the 21-year-old contributed with a solid performance which included an assist for Marc Richards's opener. And now he is looking to put himself at the forefront of Adams' thoughts. "It was massive for me to start," Prosser told The Sentinel. "As soon as I came back from Salisbury, I wanted to get into the gaffer's head that I'm ready to play if needed. I felt I wouldn't get many chances, if any, but I don't think I did myself any harm on Saturday. "I made a decent start by setting Marc up, although some of my distribution towards the end wasn't great. It's about match sharpness for me because although I'm very fit, I haven't played that many games."
