Vale banking on Andoh

Port Vale hope to have Ebo Andoh back available for Saturday's Sky Bet League One home clash with Doncaster.

Andoh missed Tuesday's 2-2 draw at Swindon due to a hamstring problem but has returned to training and is expected to be fit for selection.

Fellow midfielder Michael O'Connor has been making decent progress as he works his way back from a knee injury, although manager Rob Page is wary of him doing too much, too soon.

Goalkeeper Chris Neal is also still unavailable as he continues to recover from an ankle problem.

Doncaster boss Paul Dickov is likely to pick from an unchanged squad as he targets a first League One win of the season.

Rovers made it successive 0-0 draws with a drab performance against Southend in midweek and Dickov could be tempted to freshen things up.

He will monitor Harry Forrester, who took a knock to his ankle against the Shrimpers, while Dany N'Guessan and Paul Keegan are on the comeback trail from injury.

Dickov hopes his side will be able to find the back of the net as from the two goals they have scored this season, one was from the penalty spot and the other came when Forrester mistakenly fired home when he was returning possession to Bury on the opening day.
