Trio set for Port Vale debuts against Bury

On-loan Nottingham Forest striker Tyler Walker is in the Port Vale squad for the visit of Bury having joined this week.

Saturday's postponement against MK Dons means midfielders Chris Eagles and Callum Guy are still waiting to make their debuts having signed deals until the end of the season last week.

Forward JJ Hooper and goalkeeper Ryan Boot are also likely to feature for the first time after returning from loan spells at Northampton and Macclesfield respectively.

Goalkeeper Jak Alnwick (ankle) and defender Remie Streete (hamstring) remain doubts.

New Bury signing Jermaine Pennant may have to wait for his debut despite agreeing to join the Shakers on Thursday.

The 33-year-old former Liverpool winger requires international clearance before he can turn out for Bury and it is understood that is unlikely to occur in time after he had a recent spell in Singapore.

Tom Soares is back from suspension for boss Chris Brass, who looks likely to persist with the same XI that defeated Peterborough 5-1 last weekend, when a 20-match winless run came to an end.

None of those currently sidelined - Craig Jones (pelvic injury), Andrew Tutte (illness), Leon Barnett (calf), Zeli Ismail (knee), Niall Maher, Kean Bryan (thigh), Nathan Cameron and Chris Brown (both knee) - are expected to return.
