Port Vale without defender Remie Streete for Bristol Rovers clash

Port Vale are likely to be without Remie Streete for some time after the defender suffered a suspected broken leg in their midweek defeat at Millwall.

The Valiants are still waiting to learn the full extent of the injury but it has added to their problems ahead of the Sky Bet League One visit of Bristol Rovers.

Midfielder Anthony de Freitas could also be out after suffering a groin injury while it is still unclear when Jerome Thomas (calf) will return after an apparent disagreement with caretaker manager Michael Brown.

Brown, 40, was forced to name himself on the bench against Millwall on Tuesday after on-loan QPR midfielder Axel Prohouly suffered a knock.

Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke has no fresh injury or suspension concerns as his side look to end a run of three straight draws.

Rovers have conceded just two goals in their last four games, with Ryan Sweeney, goalkeeper Joe Lumley and Joe Partington having a major impact since arriving on loan.

That has meant no place yet for permanent signings Jonathan Burn and Bob Harris, who could again be on the bench at Vale Park.

Defender Peter Hartley faces another six weeks on the sidelines with a foot injury, while Alfie Kilgour will not feature this season after a cruciate problem.
