Vincent return boosts Vale

Port Vale will have Ashley Vincent available again when Bristol Rovers visit Vale Park.

Vincent, who was last week voted npower League Two player of the month, missed the 2-2 home draw against York on Saturday through suspension.

The winger served a one-match ban after collecting his fifth yellow card of the campaign during the goalless draw at Southend the previous weekend.

Doug Loft (calf) missed out against the Minstermen after being rated as 50-50 for that game. The skipper has a better chance of being involved on Tuesday night.

Recent signing Sean McAllister made his debut as a second-half substitute against York and he will hope to feature once more.

Fellow midfielders Kingsley James and Ryan Lloyd, defender Joe Davis and striker Ben Williamson are options for manager Micky Adams.

Bristol Rovers striker David Clarkson is a doubt with an ankle problem.

The 27-year-old had to be taken off at half-time of the 2-1 loss at Rochdale having picked up the injury in a block tackle.

Manager Mark McGhee will be without Garry Kenneth and Eliot Richards after both players were sent off in the defeat. Richards will serve a three-game ban for his straight red, while the Scottish defender will just miss the trip to face Micky Adams' men. Oliver Norburn will miss out for the final time through suspension.

Captain Matt Gill and defender Cian Bolger are expected to return to full training with the squad this week and are looking at an early December return, while Danny Woodards played over an hour last weekend having not featured since the final game of last season with a broken leg.
