No O'Shea for Vale

Port Vale travel to Aldershot without the services of midfielder James O`Shea after his month-long loan deal expired. O`Shea has now returned to parent club Birmingham and will play no part at the EBB Stadium, although manager Jim Gannon has mooted at a possible extension. Striker Tom Pope also plays the last match of his loan spell from Rotherham, with Gannon certainly keen to retain his services. Midfielder Gary Roberts serves the second game of his three-match suspension having missed Tuesday`s 3-1 home defeat to Stevenage. Centre-back Gareth Owen continues his ankle recovery and is scheduled to return to action next month. Striker Marc Richards was given 45 minutes against Boro in midweek and may well be in line to start from the off this time round following his recovery from a thigh problem.
