Port Vale goalkeeper Chris Martin suffered a dislocated shoulder during the 1-0 final day defeat at Barnet. Martin will now undergo treatment during the close season to ensure he is fit in time for the start of next season's preparations. The 20-year-old has played second fiddle to Stuart Tomlinson for the majority of the season, starting just 12 league games, the majority of which came between the end of January and mid-March. Martin also finished the campaign between the sticks, duly sustaining his dislocated shoulder trying to save Izale McLeod`s matchwinning 48th-minute penalty at Underhill.
