The 22-year-old midfielder stepped down from League One when he joined Vale from Brighton in June on a two-year deal. Loft struggled with illness during pre-season and admits it took him time to get up to speed, but his performances have steadily improved and after a solid display in Saturday's 4-0 win over Grimsby, he now hopes to kick-start his career at Vale Park. "I'd be the first person to hold my hands up to say I wasn't fully match fit at the beginning of the season," Loft told The Sentinel. "But I've started to find my fitness now and adjusted to how this league is played. "I feel with every game I'm getting more of the ball and doing more things with it. That's what I want to do."
